【Hong Kong Airlines】Flight Training Centre Fun Day

【Making Aviation Dreams Take Flight Together】

With support from corporate partners, the Boys’ & Girls’ Clubs Association of Hong Kong was proud to participate in the “Flight Training Centre Fun Day,” giving children from the Jockey Club Cheung Hang Integrated Service Centre for Children and Youth an opportunity to explore the professional aviation industry. Through hands-on activities, they experienced the world of aviation, broadened their horizons, and found inspiration for their future goals.

This event was co-supported by Zurich Insurance and Hong Kong Airlines, featuring arrangements for participants to visit the Hong Kong Airlines Flight Training Centre. Guided by professional flight crew members and corporate volunteers, the children were able to observe the day-to-day operations of the aviation industry and learn about the roles and requirements of various positions.

The program featured a variety of activities, including visiting an aircraft cabin, learning basic aviation safety knowledge, and interacting with pilots and cabin crew, allowing participants to understand the industry from multiple angles. Children also had the chance to enter a flight simulator cockpit to experience flight operations firsthand and get a feel for what it's like to pilot an aircraft.

Additionally, participants dressed in crew uniforms and played the roles of “junior pilots” and “junior cabin crew,” engaging in role-playing activities that boosted their confidence and motivation to learn while deepening their understanding of future career options. Through this experience, children not only explored new and exciting learning opportunities but also developed aspirations and dreams in a real and inspiring environment, opening more possibilities for their future growth.

We sincerely thank Zurich Insurance and Hong Kong Airlines for their generous support and arrangements, enabling children to step beyond the classroom into the professional world, and to put into practice the concept of “learning through experience” as they embark on their future journey.
