【Citygate Outlets】 CNY: Spreading Love and Blessings in the Community Experience Programme
【Celebrate the New Year together and hang blessings on the wishing tree】
On the eve of the Lunar New Year, The Boys’ & Girls’ Clubs Association of Hong Kong Jockey Club Tsing Yi Integrated Service Centre for Children and Youth and Jockey Club Cheung Hang Integrated Service Centre for Children and Youth led 12 families and 36 children to participate in a Chinese New Year themed event. During the festive season, participants experienced the joyful atmosphere while learning the importance of caring for the community.
The event was held at Citygate Outlets and featured a variety of interactive games and festive installations, allowing participants to enjoy the New Year in a relaxed and cheerful environment. By engaging in various activities, children not only had festive fun but also strengthened parent-child interaction and communication.

One of the highlights of the event was the limited-time installation of the 「『薯』願牌」. Participants wrote their New Year wishes on wish tags and hung them on festive kumquat trees, symbolizing the spreading of blessings. For every wish tag hung, Citygate Outlets donated HKD 5 to designated charitable organisations, including our Association. This transformed simple wishes into meaningful acts of kindness, benefiting those in need. A total of 927 「『薯』願牌」 were collected during the event, raising HKD 4,635 in donations. The full amount has been allocated to the BGCA Treasure Trove to support children and families in need, providing both material and non-material assistance.

In addition, ICYSC received festive decorative materials known as “Potato Beanbags” from Cotygate Outlets. Members can use these facilities within the centres for rest and social interaction.

We sincerely thank Citygate Outlets for their generous support and thoughtful arrangements, enabling our service users to enjoy a meaningful and memorable festive experience, while promoting community inclusion and spreading warmth throughout the community.
