【New Year Cultural Experience: Making Traditional Delicacies】

In this joyful festive season, we guided children in making traditional New Year snacks with their own hands. From kneading the dough and wrapping the fillings to shaping the glutinous rice balls, every step brought immense excitement to the little ones. As they watched the round, bouncy rice balls dancing in the boiling water, with sweet aromas filling the air, their faces beamed with anticipation and a sense of achievement.

During the activity, our volunteers not only taught cooking skills but also shared the cultural significance behind rice balls, which symbolise family reunion, happiness, and wellness. The children listened attentively, experiencing the charm of traditional culture through hands-on participation. When it came time to taste their creations, everyone gathered around to share these heartwarming desserts made with their own hands, making this New Year celebration particularly meaningful in the cosy atmosphere.
