This award was presented by the Investor and Financial Education Council (IFEC) on 6 March 2025, recognizing BGCA's outstanding contributions and achievements in promoting investor and financial education.

Special Acknowledgement

BGCA expresses heartfelt gratitude to The Hongkong Bank Foundation for their continuous support since 2015, which has enabled the successful implementation and sustained growth of the HSBC Young Financial Planners Programme. Notably, the programme has received the IFEC Silver Award three times since its inception.

About the Programme

The HSBC Young Financial Planners Programme, organised by BGCA and co-organised by the Education Bureau with the support from The Hongkong Bank Foundation, aims to equip Hong Kong youth with comprehensive and practical financial knowledge and skills, laying a solid foundation for their financial futures. The programme features a variety of innovative activities, such as financial literacy courses, the "Financial Gurus Showdown" short film competition, and the Junior Financial Secretary initiative, which enhances students' understanding of public finance and economic policies, while fostering their financial competence and social responsibility. Since 2015, the programme has benefited over 78,954 students across more than 306 secondary schools.

Looking Ahead

BGCA will continue collaborating closely with various community partners to further promote financial education among Hong Kong youth. This effort aims to cultivate future talents who possess strong financial management skills and a heightened sense of social responsibility.
