The 17-year-old teen, Ho Man (alias), was diagnosed with anxiety disorder. The illness has affected his social life at school and brought him insomnia. Due to a long waiting time for public psychiatric service, he can only temporarily seek help from private psychiatrists to reduce anxiety. As a child in a grassroot family, Ho Man had once considered suspending the medical consultation to relieve the family’s financial burden.  

To promote mental health of children and youth, “Treasure Trove” has paid for Ho Man's medical expenses and provided him and his mother with various emotional support. BGCA has followed up with Ho Man’s adjustment at school, referred him to receive consultation from educational psychologists and provided him with clinic visit services.
