The early years of a child is a very significant milestone of development and a good foundation is vital to the holistic and long term well-being of children.

To echo the Chief Executive's 2023 Policy Address highlighted to support families with newborns to promote fertility and create a pro-childbearing environment to safeguard the harmony and stability of Hong Kong, as well as to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the International Year of the Family, we are pleased to announce that the Symposium on Early Childhood Intervention 2024 on November 27, 2024 with the theme of " Nurturing Early Life - Continuous Support for Pregnancy, Childbirth and Childrearing "

 1️⃣ Working with the infant within the family system: supporting the parent-Infant relationship and the child s development from pregnancy to preschool

 2️⃣ Developing a multidimensional Perspective on early childhood
 (Speaker: Prof. Cheng Xueqin)

 🔸Plenary Sessions (11:50-13:00):
 1️⃣ Domestic violence in pregnant women and future child health
 (Speaker: Dr. Leung Wing Cheong)
 2️⃣ Towards Parenthood: The Unspoken emotions of New Mothers and the support They Need
 (Speaker: Dr. Joyce Mok Wing Si)

 🔸Concurrent Session (14:45-17:45):
 Several local experts and scholars specializing in early childhood development and education (psychology, social work, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy)

 ✴️The application for accreditation of credential credits or CPD points is currently in progress with the following professional associations.
