BGCA Caring Award for The Most Outstanding Improve

Background

The Association currently provides after school care services for about 700 primary school students in our service units. The "BGCA Caring Award for The Most Outstanding Improvement" was established to recognize the personal development of those children and youth who have made remarkable progress and outstanding performance in the areas of morality, behavior and studying.

Mr Henry K.C. Wu, BBS, JP, the Honourable President of the Association is the patron of the scheme. Each year, 16 outstanding students will be awarded the scholarship.

Objectives

The Scholarship aims to recognize the personal development of children and youth who have made outstanding performance in studying and morality

Targets

Primary school students of full-year After School Care Services of the Association

Categories

  • Junior Primary Division(Primary 1 to 3)
  • Senior Primary Division(Primary 4 to 6)

Selection Criteria

The selection will consider the nominee’s performance in three areas:
  • Morality
  • Attitude and interpersonal relationship
  • Academic performance

The 2nd BGCA Caring Award for The Most Outstanding Improvement was held between January and March in 2013. Twenty-five students were nominated by 14 service units.
