Guide to Applicant
  1. The applicant must be a Hong Kong permanent resident over 18 years of age and accompanying his/her campers in the camp. The applicant is responsible for his fellow campers and must register at the camp office with his/her campers on the day of arrival.
  2. Residential camp offers 112 camp places. 4 Group hostels offer 20 camp places and 4 extra beds. 2 Family hostels with 4 flats, each offers 8 camp places and 2 extra beds. The number of people applied for group hostels must be 20 or in multiples of 20, for family hostels must be 8 or in multiples of 8.
  3. Maximum capacity for day camp is 140 people, at least 20 people for each application.
    • Arrival time for day camp: 10a.m.
    • Departure time: 4p.m.
  4. Please send the completed booking forms to the Camp Services Section in person or by mail 4 months before the proposed camping period. The payment must be settled on or before the designated date if the application is approved. If there are any unfilled camp places, application could be made by telephone directly 2 weeks before the proposed camp period and settled the payment immediately.
  5. For cancellation of booking, fees are non-refundable.
  6. Payment is non-refundable in case of absence of participants; Application for adding number of campers must be submitted and settled payment two weeks before the camp starts. Each Group hostel offers 4 extra beds while Family hostel offers 2 extra beds.
  7. Activities that contravene the laws of Hong Kong or disrupt the public order are strictly prohibited in the Campsite.
  8. No cooking is allowed in the hostels and no barbecue activity is allowed without the prior approval of the Campsite. The arranged barbecue time is 5:30pm to 10:00pm.
  9. The camper identity is not transferable during the camping period. The Camp reserves the right to cancel the booking immediately and no refund on the camp fees paid.
  10. BGCA reserves the right to revoke any camping confirmation without explanation. Should this occur, the organizer / individual will be notified at the earliest possible time and fees paid will be refunded in full.
  11. If Typhoon Signal No. 3 or Rainstorm Red/Black Warning Signal is hoisted:
    • If typhoon signal No. 3 or above remains hoisted or Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is still in force at 12:00noon on the camping day, campers should not come and the fees paid will be refunded.
    • If typhoon signal No. 3 or above remains hoisted or Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is still in force at 12:00noon on the first camping day, campers should not come and the fees paid will be refunded.
      If the signal or warning is lowered or cancelled before 12:00noon, the Holiday Camp will open as usual. Campers who do not come to check in will be regarded as waiving their rights and the fees paid will not be refunded.
    • If typhoon signal No. 3 or above is hoisted after campers have checked in, the campers must leave the camp and the camp fees for the day will be refunded according to the General Conditions of Use of the Camp. If normal operation of the Holiday Camp is affected by inclement weather, the staff will decide whether the campers should leave the Camp after taking into account the conditions at that time.
    • If typhoon signal No. 3 or above remains hoisted or Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is still in force at 7:00am on the camping day, campers should not come and the fees paid will be refunded.; campers should stay in the camp if announcement of RED/ Black rainstorm of the Hong Kong Observatory during the camp, nevertheless, if campers insist to leave the camp under such weather condition, the camp is not responsible for any accidents occurred, fees paid will not be refunded.
    • If the signal or warning is lowered or cancelled before 12:00noon on the camping day, applicants must contact our staff by telephone before setting off for the camp.
    • In cases of camps affected by adverse weather, the hirer should submit the application form for refund, together with the official receipt, in person or by post to Camp Services Section within 30 days. Original copy of the official receipt must be provided for refund.

  12. Applicant must carry the receipt or copy of the receipt issued by BGCA to the camp, which should be checked in the camp office right after arrival.
  13. The persons-in-charge must read the camp regulations and should be responsible for the behaviours of their group members.
  14. Campsite offers group activities and adventure training activities for campers, application must be made and payment must be settled one month before the start of camp period, please contact camp staff for details. Campers must be led and guided by Campsite staff during the activity, the camp shall not be responsible for the consequences occurred due to any violation of the instruction; Campsite staff have the right to terminate the campers’ participation.
The Association reserves the right to add, delete, or alter the above regulations without any prior notice.
