Introduction
The IMC Sunday School is organized by The Boys’ and Girls’ Clubs Association of Hong Kong (BGCA) and sponsored by IMC Asia Pacific Limited (IMC). It aims to help children broaden their perspectives and enhance their English proficiency and sense to cultural diversities.
In the year 2009-2010, 40 children from Tuen Mun and Cheung Hang will gather each Sunday to participate in a wide range of learning programmes. They will also visit different parts of HK in order to strengthen what they learn in the classrooms. During each lesson, volunteers from IMC will come and facilitate the children.
The learning subjects would include liberal studies (human development, environmental protection, globalization), English, rocketry, and astronomy.
「IMC Sunday School Kick-off Ceremony
The Kick-off Ceremony was held on August 2, 2009. Mr. Jan Willem Kohne, Managing Director of IMC, and Ms. Lilian Law, Executive Director of BGCA, officiated the ceremony together with 2 children representatives from BGCA Tuen Mun and Cheung Hang centre, signifying the official launching of the Sunday School.
